On the afternoon of 5th June, the 12th Home-School Rostrum activity was successfully held in the lecture hall of the east campus. The keynote speaker was teacher Chen Peifeng, and the grand event was presided over by Vice Principal Liu Bing and attended by President Madam Huang Wenli and nearly 500 parents from both the east and west campuses.
To be concrete, our school has always attached great importance to the close cooperation between family education and school education and the construction of parent school. In the meantime, the Home-School Rostrum guided parents to establish the correct parenting concepts, helped parents learn and master scientific family education knowledge and effective education methods, and created a good family education atmosphere for the healthy growth of students. Moreover, centering on the theme of ‘how to help children through the rebellious period’, Chen Peifeng conducted in-depth communication and discussion with parents in terms of five aspects: ‘the performance of the rebellious period’, ‘how to get along with the children in the rebellious period’, ‘build a harmonious family environment’, ‘how to treat puppy love’ and ‘how to deal with children’s depression’. Teacher Chen Peifeng's lecture analyzed and summarized the common problems through real and specific examples, and gave parents specific method guidance so that the parents were inspired, thus gaining a lot.
To conclude, President Madam Huang Wenli also shared with parents the precautions and suggestions to accompany their children through the rebellious period. Madam President pointed out that the harmonious family atmosphere and good parent-child relationship were more conducive to the healthy growth of children. As parents, under the background of the ‘double reduction’ policy, they should actively learn scientific family education concepts and methods, and pay more attention to the influence of family education on children. Furthermore, President Madam Huang Wenli hoped that the family and school could maintain close contact and form a synergy between family and school to promote children's better growth and development.
